City View Elementary School

It's a better VIEW as a Mustang

Homepage

Welcome to the HERD!

Located in Wichita Falls, City View is an independent school district offering a small-school atmosphere with big-school programs and opportunities.

At City View Elementary every child is known, loved, supported, and challenged to grow. We have high expectations for behavior and academics because we expect the best from every Mustang. Our House System builds belonging, leadership, teamwork, and school pride, while our campus proudly supports military-connected families.

Together, we are ONE HERD! We are building a foundation for a better future and working to become the premier elementary school in North Texas.

One Vision. One Mission. ONE HERD!

Best is the Standard.

Clubs and Programs

At City View Elementary, we encourage students to get involved in clubs and programs that match their interests. Whether they enjoy creating, exploring, helping others, or trying something new, these opportunities help students build friendships, discover their strengths, and feel connected to their school.

  • Starting November 17th on Tuesdays until 4:30pm

    More imformation to come

    Sponsor: Brandi Odom

  • Mustang Ambassadors

Mustang Ambassadors are Pre-K through fifth grade students who help make City View Elementary a welcoming place for classmates, families, and visitors. The program gives students meaningful ways to practice kindness, leadership, and service while building our ONE HERD community.

    What do Ambassadors do?

    • Greet visitors and help them feel welcome at our school.
    • Partner with new classmates, including military-connected students, so they feel included and at home.
    • Show kindness and leadership through everyday interactions with other students.
    • Take part in a community service project to give back.

    Why it matters

A friendly greeting or a classmate who invites someone to join in can make a big difference in a child’s school day. Ambassadors help new students build connections and show our community what ONE HERD looks like in action.

    Who can apply

Students in Pre-K through fifth grade who are kind, demonstrate leadership, and maintain good conduct and grades are encouraged to apply. We hope to select at least one boy and one girl from each homeroom.

    How to apply

Ask your child’s teacher for an application.

  • Mustang Honor Choir

At City View Elementary, we believe in developing the whole child. Mustang Honor Choir gives fourth and fifth grade students a place to grow through music, connect with classmates, and share their voices as part of ONE HERD.

    Why music matters

Music plays an important role in a child’s development. Singing helps students listen closely, remember patterns and words, express themselves, and build confidence. Making music with others also teaches cooperation: each student contributes to a sound the group creates together.

    What students gain

    • A chance to develop their singing and musical skills.
    • Practice listening, working as a team, and following a shared goal.
    • A welcoming place to build friendships, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
    • An opportunity to represent City View Elementary through music.

    Who can participate

Mustang Honor Choir is for City View Elementary students in fourth and fifth grade. Students and families who would like to learn more can contact Vicki Seigler.
